Country of Origin: Originates from Somalia. Extracted through steam distillation of gum resin.

Description: Fresh, woody, balsamic, slightly spicy and fruity. Frankincense is said to have a centering effect on the emotions. Used traditionally for meditation and spiritual growth. Frankincense pure essential oil starts as a resin that seeps out of injured bark. This Frankincense tree can grow to be around 20 feet tall, with shiny, wax looking leaves, and white flowers.
