Eucalyptus is a tree whose leaves and twigs are collected to extract the essential oil. The leaves, being the primary source, are leathery and fragrant. There are 8 types of eucalyptus trees from which the oil is derived, with Eucalyptus globulus being the most common. These trees are remarkable for their rapid growth, reaching up to 100 ft in just 10 years. They are commonly found in Australia, Tasmania, China, Spain, California, and Brazil.
